Job Description
“The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to staff the full time term position of Settlement Health Case Worker. The term for this position is February 15, 2016 to March 31, 2016.
Position Description
Working closely with RODS the Health Services Facilitator/Educator this position is responsible to help support refugee clients with complex health needs adapt successfully to life in Regina.
This will be accomplished through the provision of intensive hands-on information and educational supports in the clients first language through interpreters, focusing on areas of client health challenges and needs based on a professional medical assessment through the services delivered through RODS formal partnership with the Regina Community Clinic and Public Health (The Regina QuAppelle Health Region).
Desired qualifications/education
A Post-Secondary education or related work experience are position requirements. Additional requirements include excellent communication (oral and written), para-counseling, cross-cultural, leadership, motivational, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will possess the skills necessary to develop the program and work cooperatively and professionally as a representative of RODS in the community setting. The successful applicant will also require a criminal record check, reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and a clean driver abstract.
