Job Description
“Position Summary:
The Team Attendant is a member of the program team and is assigned to work with members of the care delivery team to provide support to patients and patient care staff. The Team Attendant is responsible for contributing to patient flow in the assigned departments by carrying out portering duties, stocking and maintaining supplies and equipment, assisting regulated staff and performing various housekeeping duties.
Required Qualifications:
High school Diploma
Personal Support Worker Certificate from a regulated and publicly funded educational institute and recognized by TSH
Demonstrates excellent English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills
Physical capabilities to perform duties as outlined in the physical demands
Proven ability to perform in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly changing environment
Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain patience, compassion and a courteous manner in relationships with patients, families and co-workers
Demonstrated good customer service and organizational skills
Proven ability to accept direction and guidance
Demonstrates values consistent with TSH’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
Utilize protective equipment provided and identify and reports hazards
Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
Excellent work performance and attendance record
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous/current team attendant experience
