Temporary Personal support worker in Gloucester
Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Personal Support Worker will assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal, physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and recreational needs. You will perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner. The Personal Support Worker must possess knowledge of and practice all relevant policies and procedures, including those of the care unit, fire, health and safety procedures and respond to resident emergencies when required.
You must be a graduate from a recognized Personal Support Worker program and hold a Medication Administration Certificate. As well, you must possess recent experience working with geriatrics, long-term care, or home services. Good oral and verbal communication skills are required and capable of meeting the physical and mental requirements of the position.
