We are currently hiring Personal Support Workers (Part-time) at each of our 4 Long Term Care Facilities:
GEORGIAN VILLAGE – Penetanguishene, ON
SUNSET MANOR – Collingwood, ON
SIMCOE MANOR – Beeton, ON
TRILLIUM MANOR – Orillia, ON

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a valued member of Long Term Care Services, the Personal Support Worker demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality care in accordance with the organization’s mission and vision. Responsible to function under the supervision of the Director, Resident Care, Nurse Manager and Registered Nursing staff by assisting residents to meet their emotional, social, cultural, spiritual and physical needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Provide personal care to residents in accordance with administrative policies, established standards and recognized nursing principles
Participate in the overall activation process, promoting the optimum physical, social and emotional well being of each resident.
Observe and report significant changes in the physical and emotional condition of residents
Provide individual attention to the needs of residents as directed by registered staff
Perform building safety checks as required
Prepare resident Flow Sheets and complete documentation as required
Participate in Home committees as required
Comply with provincial and County occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Certification as a Personal Support Worker as per the requirements of the Long Term Care Homes Act and Regulations
Ability to work effectively with others in an inter-professional care team
Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
As a condition of employment, candidates are required to submit documented results of a 2 step TB test that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire.

Salary Range: $18.10-$22.57 per hour
