Job Summary:
Works under the direction of occupational therapists within the adults, geriatric, and pediatric divisions. Works collaboratively with the program teams to prepare and clean treatment supplies and spaces; order supplies; prepare treatment media as directed. Maintains cleanliness, safety and orderliness of treatment and storage areas, and performs other support/clerical duties as required. Reports to the Supervisor and/or Manager of the Occupational Therapy Service.
Qualifications:
Grade XII diploma required. Previous experience working in rehabilitation or other healthcare setting would be a definite asset. Effective interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments with minimal direction are required. Must be able to perform physically demanding activities applying appropriate body mechanics.
