Job Summary:
To perform the duties of a Housekeeping Aide by providing a clean, safe and pleasant environment for hospital patients, staff and visitors within AHS.
Qualifications:
– Grade 10 education or equivalent required.
– Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time. Knowledge of hospital equipment and procedures is an asset.
– Must be fluent in English.
– Good communication, interpersonal skills, auditory acuity, manual and finger dexterity, and motor coordination a necessity.
– Must be capable of walking and/or standing for long periods of time.
– Must be capable of frequently lifting 22.5kg. Must be capable of pushing/pulling heavy carts up to and occasionally exceeding 225 kg.
– Good interpersonal skills required.
– Basic computer skills an asset.
– Previous experience in Health Care cleaning an asset.
