Job Summary:
The incumbent participates in the delivery of quality patient care by performing services necessary for the physical and emotional well being and comfort of the patient.  The Manager supervises the position and the Charge Nurse and other team members provide general direction for specified duties.

The Nursing Attendant provides patient care services as an unregulated worker under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Qualifications:
Proof of completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Course (or equivalent, Medical Terminology course and BCLS-HCP are required.  One year recent related experience, computer familiarity, as well as familiarity with hospital settings are an asset.  The candidate must have the physical capability of performing all aspects of the role.  The ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is essential.

Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and self motivation and initiative are required.  The candidate must be able to work within a team environment, take direction and effectively communicate to all members of the team.
