Job Summary:
Unit 49 is looking for a Nursing Attendant to join their highly specialized team. Unit 49 is a Cardiology/MTU unit with an acute patient population. The nursing attendant must be able to work to full scope of their job description as part of the inter-professional team. The nursing attendant will be responsible for providing support within a collaborative practice setting. It will be expected that the successful candidate embrace “”AHS 7 Values”” – Respect, Engagement, Performance, Accountability, Safety, Transparency, Learning – and personally demonstrate a commitment to patient care with their daily interactions with patients, families and colleagues.
Qualifications:
– Certificate in Health Care Aide course is required
– Current BCLS-HCP certification required
– Must be able to work to full scope within the NA role
– Must be willing to perform within a collaborative practice model
– Excellent verbal and written skills in English required
– Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills required
– Demonstrated “”Leading with Values”” – Respect, Engagement, Performance, Accountability, Safety, Transparency, Learning
– Demonstrated treatment of others with respect, fairness and dignity
– Demonstrated promotion of workplace safety and adherence to safety policies and procedures
– Demonstrated adherence to “”Hand Hygiene””
– Demonstration of setting high standards to guide performance
– Competence in basic computer skills used for charting
– Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
– Understands and complies with:
